Check that cooling water reaches both sides of the blade evenly. Clear blocked nozzles and inspect hoses for kinks or leakage. Required flow depends on the blade, material and machine; there is no single flow value for all bridge saws.

Daily grease points and weekly motor bearings

Guide, rack and lifting-mechanism care every two weeks

With the head slide stopped and energy isolated, inspect the bridge's flat and prismatic guide surfaces every two weeks. Remove contamination and restore lubrication. The WSD625 instructions give reference oil levels of approximately 3 mm above the bottom of the flat guide and 5 mm above the lowest point of the prismatic guide. These dimensions apply to this guide geometry.

Apply a light, even lubricant film to the designated racks and lubricate the head-lifting guide pillar and screw at point 3. Check the longitudinal guide level and replenish when needed; do not wait for a scheduled service if the level is low.

5. Safety Tests and Monthly Mechanical Checks

Test safety devices every two weeks

Test WSD625 emergency stops, limit switches and proximity switches using the manufacturer's procedure. Never bypass a guard to perform a test. If a safety device fails, remove the machine from service until the fault is corrected and its function verified.

Clean travel areas and check clearances

Monthly, clean the areas around sliding rollers, racks and guides, then restore lubrication. The WSD625 instructions mention gas oil/diesel for cleaning. Confirm compatibility with seals and coatings, ventilation and fire precautions before use; it is not a universal cleaning recommendation.

Lubricate the blade-head swivel at point 9. Inspect axial clearance in the head-lifting nut or drive mechanism against the manufacturer's tolerance. Clean the water solenoid valve; recurring blockage may require attention to upstream filtration or scale.

Inspect the hydraulic system

Check the hydraulic oil level, hoses, fittings, cylinders and pressure gauge. Note leakage, abrasion, pressure changes, table drift or uneven movement. Never search for a pressurized leak with bare hands. Depressurize the circuit and safely support raised components before repair.
